There Lies A Beauty

Do take a look
In a child's drawing book
Where beauty lies in art
Of innocence loaded cart
Do look above
Where dims a chandelier
Though not very familiar
Beauty mingles in warm glow
Dancing slow and mellow
Do look underneath
That soft velvet
Which kisses your feet
Beauty is in blooming greens
Of ferns and flowers
And holy riverine between
Beauty needs no definition
Its presence is in every creation
It needs a heart wise
Not just a pair of eyes

  1. Whistles!! Such a tender and exquisite write Anusha :D no doubt beauty needs not to be defined as it resides in our heart and soul. As Plato so wisely states; "Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder." which you have described so beautifully in your poem. Thank you so much for participating and for your constant love and support.

    Lots of love,
    Sanaa

  2. Ah. So true. :) Beauty does need a very good observer. The childhood coloring book would be an art of memories too.
