There Lies A Beauty
Do take a look
In a child's drawing book
Where beauty lies in art
Of innocence loaded cart
Do look above
Where dims a chandelier
Though not very familiar
Beauty mingles in warm glow
Dancing slow and mellow
Do look underneath
That soft velvet
Which kisses your feet
Beauty is in blooming greens
Of ferns and flowers
And holy riverine between
Beauty needs no definition
Its presence is in every creation
It needs a heart wise
Not just a pair of eyes

To My Core The Petrichor
The earth kissed the soil
Stretched its arms
To embrace the moist
Soothing my core
Oh the aroma of petrichor
And lo drenched in the
Vapours of fortitude
I roll and fall
On heavenly drops of solitude
Oh the aroma of petrichor
Sways me to a distant shore
Soaking in its fragrance
The wild bloom and glance
So happily I wish
The scent to last more

Cloud Burst
the thunder the grumble
my heart does rumble
with pain and pleasure
all that I treasure
emotions corked up for long
tears stored forlong
sudden struck a lightning
insides blare out
I pour and pour
memories sweet and sour
and as the cloud burst
rain kissed the earth
revealed and healed
soul that was sealed
now open and ajar
peace not so far

Cuckoo On A Mango Tree
I wandered lonely as a cloud
On the way I found a cuckoo bird ...
A cuckoo on a mango tree
Sings out loud with a soul free
Her melody reminds of a distant land
Mystic tales of a golden sand
Those afternoon naps
On my granny's lap
She makes me nostalgic
Weaving her magic
Cascading shades of greeny ponds
Gleaming meadows of which I am fond
Honey-dipped voice of a chirpy bird
Sways me away with rhythm unheard
A cuckoo bird with a gaity glee
Calls me aloud from a distant tree
** Inspired from William Wordsworth's 'Daffodil'.

Taste Of Sunshine
Have you tasted
A drop of sunshine
In a glass of wine
Oh what does it taste like?
Like wild sea of poppies
Gulped down with an ease
Or does it taste like twinkling star
Sweetness of tempestuous affair
Sure its taste be like evening lust
Craving from dawn to dusk
Or does it tastes like paradise
Sizzling cold of melting ice
Or does it tastes like paradise
Sizzling cold of melting ice
Guess it tastes like
Dozen hearts illuminated
Quenching the thirsts
Of passions satiated
Let's taste a drop of sunshine
In my glass of wine
And dine to start an evening fine
Let's taste a drop of sunshine
In my glass of wine
And dine to start an evening fine

Music To My Senses
(Love)
You can feel it
In lullabies of a mother
Holding a fairy child
Or in call of a jungle wild
Where blows the wind mild
(Pain)
You can smell it
In pitter patter of rain
Sobbing of a wrenching pain
Sits a lady in distant train
Whose stories I do refrain
(Enigma)
You can touch it
In dewy grass of morning
The mist so enchanting
Even the rustle of leaves
Swaying in mysterious breeze
(Worship)
You can see it
In dance of a maiden
Tuning to a Sufi hymn
Immersed in beauty of God
Whispering tales untold
(Solitude)
You can hear it
In beats of a living heart
And echoes from a mountain top
In waves that hit the shore
Breaking into whisk galore
