staring at a key
in a town of bamboo huts
she searched for the lock

  1. I can't imagine such a farewell... but your haiku brings it home, right to my heart.

  5. When you can't find the lock, maybe, just maybe, you don't need it!

  6. i've lived in villages where the stars slipped through the reed walls like diamonds at night and in the predawn, the smoke from the comal drifted in curls towards the brightening sky as loving hands padded tortillas into perfect yellow moons. no keys, just hearts always open with a willingness to share. thank you for joining us at haiku my heart and for flooding my heart in cherished memories of village life.
